Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village staff hold cook-off against cancer

The event, sponsored by Morrison Senior Dining and held the end of February, raised $161 for the Lewisburg Relay for Life.

"As we bless this ground, we set it apart for the special purpose of the healing of body, mind, and spirit," said Bishop Robert Driesen as people gathered at 2 p.m. May 1 to break ground for a nursing care center to replace Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village’s current health care facility.

Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village to begin $14 million nursing care center project

Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village has announced plans to build a nursing care center to replace the village’s current health care facility.
Executives with Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, owner/operator of the senior living community on Fairground Road, said today that construction on the $14 million project should be under way by spring, pending approval of land development and construction documents.
